About CentWise Kids
CentWise Kids exists to save parents time. Choosing a first debit card or savings account for a kid shouldn't require reading a dozen review articles — so we turn the research into interactive filters that give you a shortlist in under a minute.
Who's behind this site
CentWise Kids is run by a parent and personal-finance enthusiast who got frustrated comparing kids' banking options the slow way — and decided to build the tool they wished existed. This is an independent, one-person project, not a bank, broker, or financial institution.
Our data methodology
- Sources. Product data comes from official pricing and legal pages, cross-checked against reputable review sites and app store listings. Every data point is tied to a public source.
- Not hands-on testing. We do not open accounts ourselves. All comparisons are based on public information, not hands-on testing. Where a company changes its pricing, our page may lag until the next review cycle — always confirm details on the provider's site before signing up.
- Review cadence. The product dataset is re-checked on a regular cycle. The current dataset was last reviewed on 2026-09-13, and that date is shown on every tool page.
- Ranking rule. Tools rank by how well products match your filters — feature coverage first, then lowest fee. Affiliate commissions never influence order. Details: Affiliate Disclosure.
What this site is not
- Not financial, legal, or tax advice — comparisons and estimates only.
- Not a bank or account provider — we never hold money or open accounts.
- Not directed at children — this is a research resource for parents.
